The burns appears to be a full thickness minor burn.

This should heal by itself with good care. Make sure that the area is kept dry and out of any dirt.

*If you get hold of some sterile dressing pads/gauze , do a dry sterile dressing. Make sure it is loose. (optional)
*You can also apply a Burn specific antibacterial cream like Silver Sulfadiazine twice daily.(not necessary). (optional)
* If there is pain he can take a OTC pain medication like Ibuprofen

In case if there increasing pain, redness, discharge from the site you should consider getting medical help
