Dyspepsia secondary to H.Pylori infection.

Resolved Question:

Every time I eat anything, doesn't matter what it is, or the amount, I get slightly bloated. I don't have diarrhea, I don't feel light vomiting. I do feel ever so slightly nauseous. I feel fine when I lay flat on my back, but as soon as I stand up, I can't seem to get a nice deep breath of air.

I feel perfectly calm at first, but after it happens, I feel a burst of adrenaline in the center of my body, and it makes me feel very anxious. This has been going on for over a month now.

The weird thing is that if I stand up and hold my ab muscles really tight, it relieves it until I let loose. Otherwise if I just stand there I feel like I cant breath deeply and take really shallow breaths. It is like this all day now. The only way I feel relief is if I run on the treadmill for about 45 minutes, and then I feel great until a few hours later when my body fully relaxes again. What could this be?

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr. Kini and I am pleased to assist you.

You are having dyspeptic symptoms. The abdominal bloating and nausea could be due to H.pylori infection or gastroparesis.

Individuals with anxiety symptoms are prone for ulcer peptic disease ( also caused by H.Pylori). The first step in approaching this issue would be avoiding food items that precipitate these symptoms. Avoid milk and milk products for a week and see whether this makes a difference. You can also take an anti ulcer medication like Prilosec OTC once daily in the night just before sleep.

An upper GI endoscopy with biopsy and a gastric emptying scan may be done to know whether you have any of these.
Please so do check your blood glucose level also as diabetes is one of the common causes of gastroparesis. Consider getting prfessional help for anxiety and related symptoms.

I hope that answers your question.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr Kini
