Thank you.The surgeon has said the benefits of sugical plate or leave it is 50-50.
He said it was healing well and was surprised at this. It is in alignment on the xray and shows callus.
The risk of infection is high and that is what worries me with having a new revision hip replacement.
Is it possible for it to heal satisfactorily now I am having hydrothertapy?

Yes.
If bone is aligned then you may avoid surgery.There is no point in having surgery when greater trochanter is healing in well alignment.I think your surgeon had already advised you to do rest for few weeks so that healing can take place well.I think mild lurch is more acceptable then to have life long infection or costly & unsafe revision surgeries.
