Thank you for your query at
You need to increase the dose of thyroxine to 100mcg and retest TSH after 6wks. Target TSH should be 0.3-2.5 mIU/l. Especially if u are planning pregnancy.

Weight gain is not only because of hypothyroidism. You need to regularly exercise and consult a dietician.

Patient replied :

Dear Dr,
Thanks for the suggestion.
I dont have any medical history. so as per suggestion I need to take THroxine 100mg every morning before breakfast. is there is any other supplements which I need to take??
Please let me know if you have any other suggestion as I had not got so high TSH levels in past. I am little worried.

Thank you for the follow up.
Don't worry. Its a fairly common problem and easy to treat.
So no supplement is required. Take the thyroxine as i mentioned.
Feel free to discuss further,

Patient replied :
