Pain in back, DISLOCATED SPINE BONE on TENDOCARE. Advice.

Resolved Question:

My mother is 54yrs old, she has a slightly dislocated lower back/spine bone which we learnt a couple of years back when she started having great pain in her back. The bone was probably dislocated for many years which she was unaware of. Our specialist suggested it as a permanent condition and advised us to refrain from surgery sighting age and risks. My mother herself is also a bit skeptic regarding surgery. The pain can only be partially subsided with exercises, yoga and medicines. Moreover, the pain has steadily built over the years and the pain further increases during winters. Please suggest your opinion!

She is presently being prescribed Tendocare ( Clooagen Peptide Type I Sodium Hyaluronate Tablet) for pain, coral calcium tablet and calcitriol Calcium carbonate & zinc tablet for her arthiritis. Apart from that she has been using home remedy as well as ayurvedic medicine regularly.

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I have read your query with diligence.
By going through x ray film which you have sent ,it looks that your mother is suffering from Spondylolisthesis of L5-S1 vertebrae. It looks that this is of grade 1.The grade 1 lesion do not require surgery they are generally treated by conservative means .You should do following-
-She should avoid forward bending movements.
-She should wear a lumbosacral corset. This will support her spine & may prevent further progression.
-She may take a mild analgesic like advil or aleeve for relief.
-If there is radiation of pain in lower limb & severe pain or weakness in limbs then you should consult to your doctor.
Hope this all will help you.
Regards.

Hello,
I apologise for such a late followup, but I just wanted you to go through a more recent X-ray Report of my mother which she got yesterday and advice if you find anything notable. At the the same time kindly suggest if there is anything further that could be done to relieve pain while standing.
Regards,

Hello,
Welcome again.
I have seen your x rays. There is lishesis between lumber 5 and sacral 1 vertebrae , it looks to be progressing towards second grade.
As I have advised you previously, you should give her a limbo sacral belt . This should be weared at lower back. For pain relief you may give her a combination of tramadol with paracetamol . You should have x rays at every 3-6 months to check for forward progression of slip. Avoid forward bending at back.
Hope his will help you.
Regards.
