Severe back pain, worse on sitting. Cause.

Resolved Question:

i have severe low back pain. happened in middle of tennis and had to stop. had difficult time driving home due to pain. Worse when i drive and get out of car. sitting down for more than few minutes and getting up is very painful. i have to work tomorrow, i do not want to call in sick. is there anything i can do now to relieve this ?

I had seen a orthopedica surgeon 2 years ago.  he said it was severe back spasm and very mild degeneration.  but it got better.  but then 6 month ago, back started to stiffen again with mild pain.  but yesterday all of suddn it got really bad all of sudden.   i have trouble standing up after sitting for more than 3 minutes
