Treatment for headache after taking MODAFINIL.

Resolved Question:

I have had a headache for 2 going on 3 days. It started a few hours after taking 200mg of Modafinil for the first time. Painkillers have given me temporary relief. The pain is felt on the left side behind the eye. When should the pain which is moderate go away, and what should I be taking to reduce this.

I understand your concern.
Though the drug is well tolerated, sometimes it does show side effects such as headache, dizziness, back pain, nausea, diarrhea, e.t.c
The headache should not last for 3 days though. Are you taking 200 mg Modafinil daily? Are you on any kind of medications apart from Modafinil? What was the reason for starting Modafinil? Also any history of valvular heart disease?
