Many young females suffer from mental disturbance due to concern and peer pressure owing to small breasts. It is only a cosmetic issue but breast augmentation can lift your self esteem.

Surgical methods using breast implants with saline or silicone gel fillings have been used since long and are the most advocated methods by plastic surgeons. Although they are highly effective, due to post surgery apprehensions and cost issues, few non-surgical methods are gaining prominence recently.

Autologous fat injections are being used successfully in enhancing the breast size. Your own body fat from elsewhere is harvested using lipo-suction and is injected into the breasts. This cannot be termed as a completely non-surgical method as fat harvesting has to be done in an operating room. Even then, the procedure is simple and safe compared to conventional surgical enhancement. Sometimes breasts may feel softer following procedure and the excessive fat may mask underlying breast lumps in future.

Another new method which is gaining popularity is tissue expansion method using a special brassiere like wearable system which exerts a mild vacuum pressure on breast tissue. It is marketed under the name BRAVA and has to be worn for at least 10 to 12 hours daily for best results. Although results are not exactly consistent, this method has shown to increase breast size both in clinical studies and practice.
