I will work on getting that but we will see the doctor by then. I am just trying to understand if its even possible for the embryo to initially be there(even in its very early form) and then not to be present in the egg later?

Yes it is very much possible.
It is called a missed miscarriage.
The embryo is formed, and then for some reason there is no heartbeat in it, and the embryo self absorbs itself as it does not develop normally.
