Painful throat, postnasal drip without white patches. STREP?

Resolved Question:

Top left picture is three days ago, bottom left is yesterday. Right large picture is today. My throat is killing me. I thought maybe strep (I'm an RN) but no white patches. My kids daycare has had a few kids with strep. I also though post nasal drip but my nose is clear and no drainage.

Your throat is congested, and it is worsened in last three days. Uvula is mild oedematous.
So you are suffering from acute pharyngitis (infection of throat)
This may be due to streptococcus or other bacteria like staphylococcus or H.influenza.
To find correct organism a throat swab can be done.
Drug of choice for throat infection is amoxycillin so you can start following medicine -
Amoxicillin 500 mg three times daily for 5 days.
Levocetrizine 5 mg once in night for 5 days(to decrease congestion)
paracetamol 1 gm or brufen 400 mg SOS for pain and fever
You can start warm saline or betadine gargle two times daily.
