Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
I am sorry about what happened to your girl friend.
It is important to know some more details to predict her prognosis. What is her current status now? Is she still in ER? How is she feeling?
Why exactly was the surgery done? Different surgeries have different complications, so it is important to know the need of the surgery.
She can have a range of symptoms from dizziness, nausea, GI discomfort, aspiration pneumonia. It depends on the type of poisoning. Will you be able to mention the source. It is important in this case.
Patient replied :
yes she is still in er but i dont know how she feels cause her family is not letting anyone see her right now but i think she is not feeling well cause she didnt contact me yet. she had a breast reduction surgery. she used rat poison.
I totally understand what you're going through.
Rat poison leads to bleeding manifestations such as bleeding gums, blood in the urine/ stool, shortness of breath, fatigue, fever, extensive bruising ( e.t.c ).
However with appropriate treatment ( Vitamin K ), the lethal effects can be controlled and i am sure since she was taken to the hospital at the right time, she will recover.
Also do not worry about her losing her breasts.
Let me know once you have further updates on her,
