Sore feet, ankle more on morning with shooting pain.

Resolved Question:

Hello,
Over the last two weeks my feet, heel and ankle became very sore.
This was especially bad in the mornings when arising and walking down stairs and continued through the day.
Over the last week both feet have become progressively more swollen and sore with pins and needles and shooting pains. They now seem pink and warm which has only started tonight.

I didn't think it was cellulitus, seem unusual to have it in both feet?
I have attached a photo,

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
Cellulitis is an acute condition associated with a lot of pain and redness. In the picture, I could not appreciate any swelling or redness, so it can be ruled out.
Do you have any history of rheumatoid arthritis or joint problems in the past?
Is there any associated pitting edema around the ankle?
Do you have any history of hypertension/ T2DM/ varicose veins in the past?
What is your height and weight?
Once you reply, I will get back to you,
Regards.

Hello,
The kind of pain you described points more towards a neurological pain.
This could occur due to vitamin deficiency.
I will advise you to try a course of Tab. Neurobion Forte once daily at bed time for a month.
And, you need to get your serum vitamin b12 levels checked to confirm the diagnosis.
Also, you need to reduce your weight, as it puts a lot of pressure on the joints, increasing the chances of them being tender.
Kindly get back to me with your vitamin b12 levels,
Regards.
