BIOGRAPHY

?Dr. Sheskier is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in lower extremity problems (knee,ankle,foot),their diagnosis and treatment.He is a clinical assistant professor of orthopedic surgery New York University Medical center, operating at  NYU/Hospital for Joint Diseases and the Jersey City Medical Center.The doctor has been performing surgery on the lower extremities for over 20 years in the New York City Tri-state area  (Manhattan - NY - NJ - Conn )with  offices in Manhattan and New Jersey.He has expertise in surgery of complex foot, ankle and leg ailments. This includes: tibia fractures, ankle fractures , foot fractures , achilles tendon injuries,torn ankle ligaments, knee arthroscopy,ankle arthroscopy and  revision surgery.  Dr. Sheskier has been performing total ankle replacements for over a decade.He is active in the developing field  of the biological treatment of joint arthritis and tendon problems including PRP and stem cell therapy . 

He is an assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at NYU School of Medicine where he has helped train hundreds of residents in diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle problems. He has participated in numerous overseas medical missions including Vietnam and Cuba. He also is a consultant to the New York Rangers hockey team. 

Working in conjunction with his partners (University Place Orthopedics), Dr. Sheskier also performs as a primary surgeon or assistant surgeon in complex surgeries of the shoulder, knee and hand.

He has special interest in dance medicine and sports injuries of the knee, ankle and foot.Dr. Sheskier has long experience in orthopedic trauma especially of the knee, ankle and foot. He is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America and  the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society.  Working with his partners  (University Place Orthopedics),He is team physician for the Rivetters, professional woman's hockey team after years with the NY Rangers. Dr. Sheskier also performs as a primary surgeon or assistant surgeon in complex surgeries of the knee,shoulder, and hand.He has participated in many overseas medical missions/lectures including Thailand,Vietnam, Haiti and Cuba. He has been  a consultant to the New York Rangers hockey team. He is a frequent guest on Sirius Doctor Radio.
