Pain urination and std

Resolved Question:

I had unprotected sex on Jan 24. On March 9th I went to urgent care because I was urinating a lot and they did a urine test and said I had a UTI and possible early kidney infection. They put me on Microbid and a pill that turns urine orange and a shot. I then go my gyn to call me in diflucan because I was itching. I have never any discharge or any signs of other systems and spouse has no systems, I sent off for anstd blood test on March 19th and feel totally horrible. Is there a chance I could have anstd? I feel fine now but just scared, results have not come back. The other party says they are fine.

No I don’t think you are having an STD. I think you are experiencing the symptoms of UTI (urinary tract infection). That said, you cannot be 100% sure that there is no STD since you had unprotected sex. So you have done the best thing by going for a STD test. Just see to the results.

If you are not getting relived of the itching in 5-6 days, you should consider seeing a Doctor. Diflucan is an anti-fungal. You should not use it for prolonged periods

Meanwhile continue the UTI medication. Drink plenty of water.
