Chest pain radiated to back after taking NUVARING.

Resolved Question:

I started using nuvaring yesterday and i woke up this morning with severe chest pain around my sternum that radiated to my back. It would get very intense, then die down. It repeated 3 times. I also had cold sweats and was lightheaded during the episodes. I am only 21, but should i go to the hospital for this? Was it possibly a heart attack

At 21, I do not think it was a heart attack.
Most probably you are adjusting to the hormones within the Nuvaring.
If you experience a repetition of these symptoms, please have an evaluation done at the ER.
These symptoms are classic of hormonal fluctuations.
