Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
There is no emergency transplant list anywhere, where a kidney transplantation is never an emergency
There is a scoring system for the patients on waiting list depending on the complications and comorbidities the patient possess.
What your mentioned to you was that as per your complications you might be high on the waiting list. So keep yourself fit and healthy. Avoid developing complications and wait for your turn patiently . You will definitely get a kidney soon.
People can survive for a very long time in hemo or peritoneal dialysis. Both of them are complementary and can be utilised depending on the necessity. Adequate dialysis is a must
You should undergo three times a week dialysis each for 4 hours
Eat well and maintain all your biochemistry profile with normal range by appropriate drugs as advised by your nephrologist
Keep fit and healthy . Get in to a regular physical activity. Maintain your hemoglobin at around 11 gm. A positive attitude towards life is more important than any thing else. It's not difficult to maintain for decades on dialysis. Not that the transplant makes wonders in everybody's life. So, keep yourself good in such a way that when you get a call for transplant, you be medically, physically, economically, emotionally fit do that the transplant becomes successful.

Please feel free to post further queries,
Regards.
