Sporadic pain, tenderness in testicles after injury.

Resolved Question:

Hi

I am a 39 year old male, in good general health.

I had a similar issue 5 years ago, it turned out to be nothing but psychosomatic in nature and after a scan that showed no problems the issue went away.

fast forward to now, i again have this sensation associated with my left testicle. this current problem manifested after i was drying off in the shower and hit my testicle a little too hard by accident. then my mind reached back to 5 years ago remembering those feelings in the same region and all of a sudden i have what it seems are weird symptoms. it is hard to explain. sometimes it feels like its a little more tender where the cord joins the testicle and the testicle itself then ill examine it again later and be unsure if it really is. i have an occassional sporadic and very mild pain/discomfort in lower left side of abdomen and a very slight discomfort just above where scrotum joins abdomen base on left side. sometimes the sensation feels similar to a weak case of blue balls.

sexual function is normal, STD's have been ruled out and no discharge from penis or blood in semen /urine.

i went to my own Dr. a month ago for a physical exam and discussion and she could detect no abnormalities and suggested it might again be all in my head.

i am sure there is a sensation there - be it a slight tenderness, discomfort or just weird feeling. Maybe its my paranoia and mind playing tricks on me again?

i need a second opinion as i am unsure about it all and worry that it could be cancer.

Dear sir,
Thanks for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern
I have reviewed your complaints and you don't seem to anything major and certainly not cancer.
However, I want you to get ultrasound KUB to see your kidneys. Occasionally patients with stone in kidney or ureter can experience these symptoms. Beyond ultrasound nothing else to be done.
Feel free to discuss further
Take care
Sincerely
Rajiv Goel
